Klasszikus méretű 12.0 cm átmérőjű, 8 cm magas fekete raku csésze eredeti fadobozában a Bunsei korban (1818-1830) alapított Waraku műhelyből Kyoto Gion negyedéből. Az alapító Shichizaemon eredetileg egy teaházat vezetett a már akkor is felkapott negyedben. Amikor Togo Heihachiro admirális meglátogatta a teaházat és raku műhelyt, akkor kapta a Waraku nevet.
