Words of pottery making
Mount Daisetsu, which can be seen from the mountain, was once a sacred mountain known to indigenous people as Nutakukamushuppe (Sacred Mountain), and has been the source of many traditions. I too have been working hard to create works that use Mount Daisetsu, as well as images of snow crystals, drift ice, lavender, morning mist, and other elements, as a breeding ground for images of the natural beauty of the ocean and the changing of the seasons. I created this work with the hope that it will meet the expectations of its lovers.
